Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to all software applications ("Apps") published by Cardinate Consulting LLC: Cardinate Fitness, Cardinate Remote Watch, Saturn PhotoGraph, GPX PhotoGraph, PhotoGraph Watch Tracker, Exif PhotoGraph, Analog PhotoGraph, Crop PhotoGraph, PhotoGraph Shared Album Sync, MPP Viewer, PaperSnap PDF Scanner, RouteGlance, CouchMail, and IMAP Archiver & Cleaner.
This policy does not apply to our websites or other services, which are governed by a separate privacy policy available on our website.
Our Privacy Commitment
All of our apps are designed privacy-first:
- No Cardinate accounts, Cardinate logins, or ads
- We do not operate app servers that receive or store your personal information
- Processing happens on your device or in your personal iCloud account except when an app feature requires a service described in this policy
- No advertising, analytics, tracking, or sale of personal information
Data We Do Not Collect
None of our apps collect, transmit, share, or store your personal information on Cardinate Consulting servers. We do not operate app servers and do not have access to your files, photos, email messages, account credentials, location data, or device identifiers. CouchMail and IMAP Archiver & Cleaner process the email address, mail-server settings, credentials, and messages you provide solely on your device and in direct communication with your chosen email provider as described below.
Data Processing
Depending on the app and its features, the following data may be processed locally on your device, in your personal iCloud account, or by a service needed to provide a feature:

Cardinate Consulting does not operate app servers and does not receive or store this data. Most processing occurs on your device or in your personal iCloud account. When you use RouteGlance, home and work addresses and route locations are processed by Apple Maps to provide address search results, driving directions, traffic information, and estimated travel times. Route coordinates or destination coordinates are sent to the applicable weather provider to retrieve forecasts, active weather alerts, and radar imagery. For locations in the United States, RouteGlance uses services provided by the U.S. National Weather Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. For locations in Canada, RouteGlance may use services provided by Environment and Climate Change Canada and MET Norway. Cardinate Consulting does not operate an intermediary server for these requests and does not receive or store the addresses, route coordinates, or weather requests. On iOS, RouteGlance may store a recent commute summary, estimated travel time, selected commute direction, and destination weather information in a local App Group container shared only between the RouteGlance app and its widget extension. This allows the RouteGlance widgets to display commute and weather information on the Home Screen. This information remains on the device and is not sent to Cardinate Consulting. When you use CouchMail or IMAP Archiver & Cleaner, the app connects directly from your device to the incoming mail server you configure. Your email provider processes your account credentials, mailbox requests, and message data under that provider's own terms and privacy policy. Neither app routes email or credentials through Cardinate Consulting. IMAP Archiver & Cleaner may create archive or export files only at locations selected by the user; those files are controlled by the user and by the selected storage provider, if any. These service requests are necessary to provide the features you request.

Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising, analytics, or tracking. Any sharing you initiate (e.g. AirDrop or export) is handled by Apple's standard share interface, and we do not see or track where you send your files. Some apps use Apple services such as Maps and iCloud to provide requested features; those services process limited data under Apple's privacy policy. RouteGlance sends addresses and route locations to Apple Maps as necessary to provide address search, routes, traffic information, and estimated travel times. It sends route or destination coordinates to the applicable weather provider solely to retrieve forecasts, active weather alerts, and radar imagery. For U.S. locations, these providers may include the U.S. National Weather Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. For Canadian locations, these providers may include Environment and Climate Change Canada and MET Norway. These services process requests under their own privacy policies and government privacy practices. RouteGlance does not send this information to Cardinate Consulting servers. CouchMail and IMAP Archiver & Cleaner send mailbox requests and credentials only to the mail server selected or configured by the user. Common-provider templates may automatically fill server addresses, but the connection remains directly between the user's device and that email provider. Archive or export files from IMAP Archiver & Cleaner are sent to another service only when the user selects that service or storage destination.
User Rights & Data Deletion
Our apps have no Cardinate user accounts and store no personal data on our servers. Your rights are exercised directly on your device and, where applicable, with the external service you chose to use. You can delete data created by our apps (such as GPX files or email archive files) directly from your device, iCloud account, or selected storage destination. RouteGlance commute addresses and settings can be replaced or removed within the app and are removed when the app is deleted. On iOS, locally stored widget information is also removed when the app and its associated data are deleted. In CouchMail and IMAP Archiver & Cleaner, you can remove a configured account to delete its settings and Keychain credential from the device. Deleting either app removes its locally stored account configuration but does not automatically delete archive files the user previously exported to another location. Email messages remain controlled by your email provider; deleting a message in either app sends a deletion request to that provider. How We Safeguard Your Information
Since your data is stored on your device and not our servers, it is protected by your device's own security and, where applicable, your iCloud account (Apple Account and two-factor authentication). CouchMail and IMAP Archiver & Cleaner store mail-account passwords or app-specific passwords in the device Keychain. Account preferences are stored locally on the device. Connections to mail providers use TLS when enabled in the account configuration; the apps enable TLS by default for recognized providers. Users should keep TLS enabled and use an app-specific password whenever their provider supports or requires one. Archive files created by IMAP Archiver & Cleaner may contain email content and attachments; users are responsible for securing, retaining, sharing, and deleting those exported files.
Corporate Transaction
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, the transferee will assume the rights and obligations described in this Privacy Policy.
Updates to This Policy
We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes will be effective immediately upon display of the revised policy. The "Last Modified" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our apps constitutes your acceptance of any changes.
